Exposed to the Bar R H19 Bull (PB54128) from Bar R Cattle Company as well as Black Purebred Bulls from the Bay Ito Macho 177 (FB22028) Bloodlines. This is the 4th year that PrimeFire has been breeding Red Angus Heifers to Wagyu and the 14th year involved in the Wagyu cattle business. The bulls have proven to be low birthweight and easy calving. The H19 bull is below average in the Wagyu breed for birthweight but above average for weaning weight and marbling, as shown in the EPD’s. The bulls were pulled from the heifers on August 1, 2023. Heifers were ultrasound confirmed bred by Dr. Eilerts at Nebraska Vet Services on September 14, 2023. They were again confirmed bred by Dr. Eilerts on February 12th, 2024. At this time the heifers also got a Vira Shield 6 + VL5 Breeding Shot, Scour Guard Shot, and Pour-on. These heifers have never been implanted. They originated out of 2 ranches from Eastern Wyoming and Western Nebraska who raise Purebred Red Angus breeding bulls. The ranches gave them 2 rounds of a 5-way and a 7-way vaccine prior to ownership. They also were bangs vaccinated and tagged at the ranch. They then got an injectable wormer and pour-on on May 27, 2023. These heifers also have 2 numbered ear tags to match in both ears. These heifers were developed on a mixed hay, corn, distillers, silage and mineral supplement ration Summer of 2023. They were then turned out to graze cornstalks behind a single hotwire fence from October 11th - January 4, 2024 with a salt and Purina mineral program. They were then brought closer to home on another cornstalk field and started supplementing a mixed hay, earlage, distillers, silage, and mineral supplement ration. Average weight 3/2/24 was 1,000#. Must pickup the heifers within 5 days of auction. After 5 days, the calving risk is on the buyer. Possible additional delivery available, contact the seller for more details.
