Seller Story
It's a "Grass Time Special" turnout sale as we head into the Spring! Schweitzer Red Angus has been running commercial and registered cows since the early 2000's. In 2014 Schweitzer’s made a pivotal move and began concentrating on their registered herd purchasing some top females from several leading registered breeders in the country from the likes of Rich Red Angus, Pieper's, Gill's, KAW Red Angus and Bieber's. An intense A.I. program allows SRA to develop leading edge genetics from several bull studs. SRA emphasis is creating registered bulls for the commercial industry with a focus on performance, carcass merit and the maternal values to provide quality replacement heifers. SRA hosts a production sale in Nebraska each spring and is offering a unique opportunity on BigIron to showcase some of their sire groups as well as a set of commercial Red Angus open replacement heifers. All the bulls have had a fertility soundness exam from DVM Jay Wolverton of Seward Animal Clinic. Both the bulls and females were run through and poured, heifers were bangs vaccinated and ready for new owners.
