Seller Story
The Sutphin Ranch began in the early 80’s with 16 red horned Limousine cows that were heavy muscled and direct decedents of French imports. They then progressed by using replacements each year whilst growing a family. Then in the 90’s returned to Colorado and grew the herd even larger where they featured some of the first Homozygous black/polled Limousine bulls for that area. During this time expansion occurred by adding in registered Angus and Charolais. Numbers grew then numbers had to shrink due to drought which also opened up new territories, not only Colorado but Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Montana and New Mexico. The Sutphin Cattle Company now raises 5 breeds and employs 30 men and women to make it an all hands-on deck operation.Disclaimer
