Seller Story
Hi, I’m Randall Shinn. Together with my partner, Bob Laird, we have 70 years in aviation and over 20,000 hours as pilots. We are calling it quits now after running the fixed base operation in Gillette, Wyoming, for 25 years. Together with an excellent workforce, we have provided aerial survey, pilot service, aircraft fueling, maintenance, charter, flight instruction, and all aspects of line service to our valued customers.Aviation has given us some scares, but also the thrills and joys of a lifetime. Nothing will ever match the fabulous beauty of early morning wildlife surveys along the foot of the Big Horns with the rising sun casting a rosy glow on the scene. Flight instruction, particularly instrument instruction, has been very satisfying to me. And I have felt the great peace of a cross-country leg in the King Air on a moonlit night. Bobby specialized in flying long-distance wildlife surveys, crossing and re-crossing the entire western United States with a full crew of biologists aboard.
As we button up our operation, we want to say thanks to all, particularly our loyal and trustworthy employees. Please take a look at what this auction is offering. I hope you can find something here that will help you to achieve your goals and to help you provide good service to others, as we have done. Good luck to you!
