Flat Iron Red Angus is a 4th generation Red Angus seedstock producer based out of Southeast Wyoming. Flat Iron cattle can be found in many different seedstock and commercial operations across the US and Canada. Flat Iron's focus is on longevity and fertility, having found these to be the most influential part of being profitable in today's cattle industry. It takes 6 years for a cow to pay for herself. Flat Iron is breeding for the cows to raise 650 lbs calves every year until 10 or 12 years old, or older. Cow longevity and pounds weaned are where true profits are made. Fertility All Bulls are guaranteed as fertile their first breeding season and have passed a breeding soundness exam. In the event of infertility, a replacement will be made available, or future sale credit. Aside from infertility, all other guarantees will be made only if you choose from your purchase of insurance on the cattle. Insurance can be purchased through an independent livestock insurance company, like Martin-Trudeau Insurance 605-996-3106Delivery Bulls will be wintered free of charge until April 15, 2024, and can be delivered free within the first 400 miles of the Flat Iron ranch.
