Seller Story
Established in the early1880's by Lanes great grandfather the Darnell family settled into the heart of the Wildcat hills Southeast of Scottsbluff, NE. They started ranching running commercial cows and over the last 50+ years began feeding cattle and later started a custom feedyard. In the past decade they began producing their own bulls and with interest from neighbors, friends they began selling some commercial Angus bulls to the neighbors. Today they develop 35-50 bulls for customers and in recent years developed a scoring system through Neogen on 17 maternal, growth and carcass traits. Darnell's are also hosting a research project w/MEAD Animal Research at Univ. of Nebraska on scoring heart health & longevity on bulls. The Cow Base is Predominately Angus with influence from Hinman Angus, MT and Reyes Angus, Wheatland WY. This is a great opportunity to purchase a bull from the Darnell family as they have never sold them outside of their private treaty program.Disclaimer
